Elimination of American Foulbrood Disease without the use of Drugs - A practical Manual for beekeepers, by Mark Goodwin.
Has been published by the National Beekeepers' Association of New Zealand, as part of its responsibility as Management Agency for the National Pest Management Strategy for American Foulbrood.
The manual combines research and scientific understanding regarding American Foulbrood (in particular recent research conducted in New Zealand on the subject), with practical techniques New Zealand beekeepers have used to overcome large-scale American Foulbrood outbreaks and eliminate the disease from their hives.
The manual is designed to be useful to all beekeepers, whether they own one beehive, or manage a large-scale commercial beekeeping enterprise.
Mark Goodwin is one of New Zealand's foremost beekeeping scientists, and has conducted extensive research on the causes and spread of American Foulbrood.
